We holistically review all applications to assess the excellence of candidates’ skills in patient care, leadership, research, medical education, and health advocacy as well as their commitment to a career in rheumatology.  Our Adult Rheumatology Fellowship Training Program uses signals to identify applicants with strong interest in WashU Rheumatology, though a signal is neither a requirement nor a guarantee of an invitation to interview.  All people who participate in application review and interviewing undergo training in unconscious biases to support our dedication to inclusion.

Interviews take place virtually (via zoom) on Thursdays in September and October.  We will schedule your interviews with the adult and pediatrics programs to take place on the same day.  You’ll learn about our respective programs, attend Grand Rounds, and meet our faculty.  Interviews are coordinated through email, so look for correspondence from @wustl.edu!

Med-Peds applicants may elect to enter the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) or secure their fellowship outside the match.  The med-peds fellowship application process is complicated, and we welcome candidates’ requests to discuss the process.
